- Disk Based Backup – Often the time allotted to a backup is limited and too small for a complete backup to tape. In these cases we use disk based backup systems where the data is quickly moved to a secondary location then backed up onto tape.
- Tapeless Backup – DSI securely creates multiple copies of your critical data and moves it off site without tapes. All data is copied locally and delivered to an off-site data storage facility via a secured internet connection.
- Off Site Archiving – DSI provides management and operational support of moving the backup tapes to a secured off-site facility.

DSI proposed a tapeless solution which would complete the initial backup within the time constraint then replicate data to an off-site storage facility via a dedicated high bandwidth connection. The customer was provided with a fast, reliable and secure mechanism to create multiple backups on a daily basis.
